Cian Truong

Legal Assistant

Cian is currently studying a Bachelor of Laws (Honours)/Bachelor of Arts (Criminology) at Monash University. They have a strong interest in family law, particularly issues surrounding family violence and the unique challenges and experiences of LGBTQ+ families.

Cian volunteers at a community legal centre, helping members of the community with matters across multiple areas of law, and was previously a volunteer assisting young people in police custody. They also bring experience from working in a criminal law firm. From this, Cian has developed a deep commitment to supporting clients with empathy and respect for their individual circumstances.

Outside of work and study, they enjoy going to the theatre, seeing live music (especially jazz!), exploring Melbourne’s diverse food scene, and curling up with a new book.
